In December 1989 at an international press conference for the returning cast members of the film "Gone With the Wind." From the left, movie star Ann Rutherford (Careen) with Doug. Pictured on the right is Doug, his mother Aldene (not a film star, but was an accomplished operatic soprano in her day)
and real film star
Butterfly McQueen (Prissy).

Aldene with Evelyn Keyes (Suellen) and Doug to the left; then, Rand Brooks (Charles Hamilton) with Doug on the right and the signed poster!

Below on the right is Doug performing for the international press prior to the stars' introduction.

Finally, to the left is Doug outside Atlanta's Alliance Theatre, which he filled four times each of his four shows, on the eve of the current millennium,

December 31, 1999.

(That's just a soft-drink in his hand!)

Below are pictures of me, Doug Lothes, with the returning cast members
of the motion picture Gone With the Wind during the 50th Anniversary re-premier in Atlanta, December 1989.
The event was for the international press and I performed prior to the cast taking the stage.
After the press conference, I (and my mother) got to meet the stars.
They all signed a poster of the film for me!

(If the economy doesn't turn around, look for it on E-Bay...and, please, bid high!)
